Many of us plan to get a little bit fitter, lose a bit weight and improve our general health. There are many different approaches available to help you reach your goals. Let us take you through 2 different options to lose weight in 2018.

The Quick Fix Fast Weight Loss

The plan for people who want to lose weight and lose weight fast.

How it works

A great idea is to take part in some form of resistance training 3 to 4 times per week. That could be a free weight session in the gym of a bodyweight session at home. Also, try to get moving more every day. Look at using a step counter on your phone and aim to hit 10’000 steps minimum per day.

Now if you want to lose weight faster then your diet has to be extremely good. Look to increase your consumption of lean protein sources and lower the number of calories from fats and carbohydrates. Consistency is the key here; you have no room for days off.

Common Pitfalls

Doing this in January could reap great rewards with improved health, weight loss and strength. But this type of approach is very hard to follow. This is the approach we see many people try…and fail at. If you are extremely motivated and determined then this could work for you.

How it works

We work on adding in or adjusting some of your habits. Drinking more water, eating slower, portion control, walking and stopping eating before you get full. The idea is to make small sustainable changes over a longer period of time. These changes become the building blocks of a healthier version of you.

Common Pitfalls

Weight loss progress could be slow and this could lead to demotivation. Patience is the key and in today’s world, many people want fast results.

You could argue that meshing the 2 approaches together would be the best solution. There are also many other solutions to losing body fat. The main thing is to find something that works for you. We are all different and what works best for your friends may not be the best approach for you.
